Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. Then you can visit Elizabeth and Booker in the equally bewitching Columbia, the city in the sky. The underwater city of rapture is a fantastic setting and the story is so unique and interesting it really keeps you hooked. It is the single player experience that makes these games for me. The online content is missing but the Bioshock 2 multiplayer was never really that great. The first game will always be my favourite, but all three are amazing and well worth playing. However that is not important to me as the games and their stories are the reason I love them so much. The games look great but are not that different to be honest. I was thrilled that my favourite game series from the previous generation were being remastered for the new gen and I absolutely had to get this collection on release for my PS4.īioshock is an amazing series, which if you have not tried, you should definitely give it a go especially at this excellent price for all three games. First time I've abandoned a game unfinished but this game went past being fun to play to being annoyingly tedious. In the end I got so bored with the game I deleted it, so don't know how it ends. This was really frustrating after dying countless times and the game going back to load the autosave and facing another twenty minutes of the same full on action again and again and again. The rest of the game was very good and I enjoyed it right up until the final part where I was stuck on an airship trying to defend the core. I was halfway through the game before discovering the left up button gave a pointer where to go. Took a long while before accidentally stumbling onto how to move on. I ended up the only person there and with nothing to do except walk around having been everywhere and looked everywhere multiple times. There is no help regarding the controls, no map and I nearly gave up bored wandering around aimlessly in the first town after I became a wanted man. Had to turn down the backing music and sound effects as they are enough to send anyone insane. Bioshock Infinite had brilliant graphics but the game play left lots to be desired with little or no indication of what you are supposed to do. The first two Bioshock games were quite good in the undersea city and enjoyable, there was always a clear objective. On the plus side lots of hours of game play.
